The weekly Day Camp themes create an atmosphere of fun and learning at the same time. The themes guide the weekly activities like arts and crafts, nature activities, games, contests, team-building games and speakers. (Please note that designated weekly themes and activities will vary by branch.)

Camp Jumpstart
Get a headstart on the summer camp season. We'll sample lots of fun activities from the summer's line up of camp themes. Offered at Grove City YMCA, North Sports Camp and North St. Anthony Day Camp only. Other camp locations may provide School Days Off.

Carnival Craze
It's more than just clowning around. Come try your hand at all those fun carnival games and enjoy life under the Big Top.

Wild, Wild West
Yee Haw! See the West as it used to be, cowboys and cowgirls, animals and the open frontier. Enjoy activities that will take you back in time to the wild, wild west.

Road Trip
Pack your bags and get ready for an awesome trip across the USA and the World! During the week, you will learn about customs and traditions of the world as well as unique and interesting locations in America. Get ready for a whirlwind of excitement on this journey.

Super Slimey
Get ready for a wacky week of icky, sticky, silly stuff that you create and take home. This isn't for the light hearted; it goes way past your school science project! Come dressed to get dirty.

Super Hero Adventures
Is it a bird? No. Is it a plane? No. Is it going to be a great camp week full of costumes, super powers, and good deeds? Yes! Join us for this new theme where the adventures never stop.

Gamesapalooza
A week full of games and activities that focus on having fun, developing sportsmanship, and learning to be a team player. You’ll enjoy new games ranging from tag to Ultimate Frisbee.

Splish, Splash
Splishin' and splashin' all while laughin'. It's time to get wet through water balloon games, sprinklers, slip-n-slides, and so much more of everything water related.

Mysteries, Maps and Riddles
Can you figure it out? What’s that? Who did it? Where are we? Become a detective, discover new places, and have fun with friends while trying to unravel the mysteries of camp.

Camp Rewind
Did you love all of the water games during Splish Splash week? Did you want to be Ooey, Gooey and Slimey just one more time this summer? Do you want to scream OH-IO one more time? Then you're in luck. We're spending the week of camp revisiting all of our favorite activities and games as we put the entire summer on rewind!

Spirit Week
It's time to meet and compete with all your fellow YMCA campers from across Central Ohio! Teams will create banners, songs, cheers, and mascots to promote their camp pride and represent their camp at the Hoover Y-Park for a day of grand fun with loads of other kids.

YMCA Day Camp Meets the Lincoln Theatre
The YMCA of Central Ohio, Lincoln Theatre and CAPA are pleased to present a collaborative partnership for the YMCA Performing Arts Summer Camp at the historic Lincoln Theatre. This unprecedented opportunity is funded through the generous support of OSU Hospital East. Through this sponsorship, over 500 central Ohio children, ages 8-12, are being given the opportunity to learn the history, techniques and basics of music, theatre and dance.

YMCA Day Camps

     Summer just wouldn't be the same without the excitement and adventure of the YMCA Day Camp program. For nearly 30 years, central Ohio children have come together for a summer full of nature, water fun, games, cookouts, arts & crafts, and new friendships! In 2011, the spirit and tradition of YMCA Day Camp continues!

Sports Camps and Clinics

Entering Grades 1–6

      Just the camp for those who enjoy sports! Don’t miss a single week as you enjoy different, weekly sports themes. Campers will be divided by age and will experience age-appropriate training in the technical, fundamental and game situation aspects of each sport. These fun-filled camps will also allow campers to participate in other activities such as sports challenges, crafts, cookouts, guest presenters, contests, and group building activities.

     The YMCA of Central Ohio is pleased to offer a wide variety of specialty camps for campers of all ages. With a full range of activities, your young camper can do it all, under the careful supervision of our highly trained camp staff. More activities mean more fun!

TeenXtreme

A whole catalogue of exciting activities designed especially for 7th–9th graders.

     Every day of your week brings a new and different adventure, and each of the four TeenXtreme locations has its own palette of activities to choose from. One day you could be making jewelry and playing in a basketball tournament; the next you might find yourself on a trail in the woods, cooking up a gourmet lunch outdoors.

Camp Can Do

For children through young adult, age 6 -21 years of age

      Camp Can Do is a summer day camp for children who have to intensive special needs. A lead counselor at each site is a teacher from our local school districts who work with children who have special needs.

How old does my child have to be?

     Wondering if your campers it the right age for a particular camp? If they will be entering the grade listed in the coming school year then they’re good to go!
