La Petite Academy’s curriculum is industry leading. Developed by our team of education experts, our curriculum is based on age-appropriate learning objectives. Teachers in all of our classrooms have hundreds of activities to choose from, each of which is tied to a specific learning objective. At our school, children will not only make the developmental progress necessary for success in school, they’ll love the activities that help prepare them!

Infant Program (6+ Weeks):

     Our experienced infant teachers create a warm yet stimulating environment for children by helping them grow and develop, with gross-motor activities to aid them in all areas of growth.

Toddler Program (12+ Months):

     Our outstanding toddler and two’s programs are designed to accommodate your child at any development stage through our individual care. Our teachers keep the toddlers active and engaged by changing activities often. Our staff is also experienced at potty training and work with families from beginning to end of the training process. A part-time program is available.

Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten Program (4-5 Years):

     Most of our preschool teachers have worked at our school for five or more years and have implemented a wonderful curriculum to prepare your child for kindergarten. They set weekly goals for the children and share their assessment with you as we work together to ensure your child is ready for kindergarten. Formal assessments are completed quarterly, and parent/teacher conferences are held twice a year. We offer Fundance as an extracurricular activity to our preschoolers. A part-time program is available.

School-Age Program (5-12 Years):

     Our school-age program is a combination of support with schoolwork and engaging activities that provide a firm foundation for learning. We focus on providing homework support for our school-age children. The summer program features age-appropriate field trips. We transport to the following area schools:

     Welcome to La Petite Academy of Columbus! My name is Sally and I am the Academy Director of this great school. I have a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Primary Education and more than 16 years of experience as a teacher and a manager. I have been the director here for eight years, and I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you why we are the best early education provider for your family.

     We believe in a sense of community at our school. We value the relationships we have with our families and love to have them involved, whether it’s reading to a group of children, helping out with an art project, or just joining their children for lunch. We hold events that involve the families, such as our Fall Festival Thanksgiving Feast and our Children’s Holiday Program.

     Our goal is to meet the needs of our children and families and provide a safe and stimulating environment for all. Our main hallway skylights allow natural light to fill our building, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. Our playgrounds are equipped with climbing structures, along with grassy areas, a basketball court and soccer goals. And we have an outstanding cook who has years of catering experience!
