Special Study Programs:
Infant
We provide a safe and nurturing “home away from home” where babies can grow and learn every day by exploring and making new discoveries.
Our Early Foundations® Infant program helps babies grow, gain mobility, and develop intellectual and social skills for a lifetime of success.
We are committed to making this first transition away from home easy and natural for you and your child as she takes her first steps toward a bright future.
Toddler
As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our Early Foundations® Toddler program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment.
Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that young children learn best through hands-on experiences. Each day is filled with fun activities that excite and develop toddlers, giving them the comfort and confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make their first friends.
Discovery Preschool
At this age, children are making new discoveries daily. As two-year-olds begin to exert their independence, our Early Foundations Discovery Preschool program opens their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our balanced approach in the classroom engages young minds with a blend of music, art, and movement, as well as the early education fundamentals they’ll need as they continue on to preschool.
Preschool
As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our Early Foundations® Preschool program fosters that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners.
Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts. A healthy dose of running, jumping, and dancing keeps them active, too.
Prekindergarten
Prekindergartners are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime in school. Our Early Foundations® Prekindergarten program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills.
Small-group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and whole-group activities help children gain the right skills to hop, skip, and jump into kindergarten.
Kindergarten
As children reach school age, our comprehensive full-day kindergarten program helps them explore, communicate and create – all in a nurturing, small-class setting. Centers offering kindergarten choose from two different curriculum programs that offer reading, language arts, math, science, and physical fitness presented in a fun way to encourage a lifelong love of learning.
Plus, our programs are aligned with local and state elementary school standards so children will be prepared to confidently enter first grade.
School-Age
As children get older and more independent, they need new challenges. That’s why KinderCare offers Before & After School care, Enrichment programs, and Summer Camps that address the changing and more varied needs of growing school-age children.
Catch the Wave® is KinderCare’s program for school-age children and provides a unique before- and after-school learning experience to keep your school-ager motivated and focused in a fun and stimulating environment.
Most school-age children seek to develop a sense of self – a sense of who they are, what they can do, and how they are perceived by others. Catch the Wave® takes into account the differing needs of school-age children ranging in age from five to 12 years old to ensure they successfully find their place in an increasingly complex world.
To make it easy for your family's schedule, many centers provide transportation to and from neighborhood schools. Our school-age program also aligns with school calendars to provide fun and learning during holidays, teacher in-service days, and other school breaks.
Enrichment Programs
Give your child every advantage with our exclusive Learning Adventures™ Enrichment Programs, supplemental educational opportunities that complement our core curriculum.
We offer a unique series of programs with coursework in math, reading, fitness, music, cooking, or a foreign language that you will not find at other early childhood centers.
With small class sizes, personalized experiences, and individual attention, your child can quickly gain new skills in important areas that are vital for future success in school and life.
Specialized 20- to 60-minute classes are taught year round in four- to five-week cycles and include:
♥ Phonics Adventures
♥ Spanish Adventures
♥ Reading Adventures
♥ Music Adventures
♥ Math Adventures
♥ Active Adventures
♥ Cooking Adventures
♥ Science Adventures
Customized games, books, and activities help motivate young learners. We communicate your child's progress through dialogue with teachers and daily notes describing each lesson.
Mandarin Immersion
It’s a small world. Help your child succeed in the future by enriching your child’s learning with a bilingual education.
A limited number of our centers offer a bilingual immersion preschool program featuring Mandarin and English, created in collaboration with leading foreign language educators.
Three Centers – in North Schaumburg, Illinois, Roseville, California and Portland, Oregon – offer the program, which is:
♥Taught by native Mandarin speakers
♥ Based on the way young children learn and develop naturally
♥ Focused on kindergarten readiness, including basic fundamental knowledge in addition to Mandarin language skills
Interactive Kindergarten
We’re excited to share a new opportunity with families: a full-day interactive Kindergarten program that makes first grade readiness a priority.
Introduction/Description:
You can have confidence that your child receives the best care and education possible at KinderCare Learning Centers.
Many of our child care centers are accredited by national organizations that require us to meet rigorous early childhood education standards and guidelines for high-quality care. Pursuing accreditation is a voluntary, ongoing commitment that can take up to 2 years to complete. It is a process of intensive self-study and improvement. Accreditation is a mark of distinction that helps you find the best possible educational experience for your child.
Programs that are accredited have demonstrated their commitment to go beyond the state’s minimum licensing requirements. When a center is awarded accreditation they are meeting very rigorous national standards in health, safety, administration and teacher qualifications, curriculum, communication and community involvement. To maintain their certification, our accredited centers must continually exceed high national child care standards.
KinderCare’s commitment to accreditation gives you assurance that every day is a positive, educational and worthwhile experience for your child. You can have confidence that your child receives the best care and education possible at KinderCare Learning Centers.
