At Childtime, we believe children learn best when they’re actively engaged. That’s why The Empowered Child™ curriculum – developed by our team of education experts – gives children the guidance and the freedom to construct their own body of knowledge in ways most meaningful to them.

     The Empowered Child™ is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to early learning and is based on the work of respected child development/early education theorists Jean Piaget, Erik Erikson and Lev Vygotsky.

Infant Program:

     Our infant teachers have been with us for over six years. They are all CPR and First-Aid certified. They provide the babies with a warm and nurturing environment.

Beginning Steps / Exploration Station / Early Learners Program:

     Our toddler room and program is designed to keep our curious toddlers engaged and having fun. From painting with pudding to blowing bubbles outside, our energetic toddlers get the stimulation of being in an encouraging and exploratory environment.

Skill Builders / Kindergarten Connection Program:

     We follow the Early Learning Content Standards that the Ohio Department of Education has laid out for preschool programs. Our goal is to make sure that each child is ready for kindergarten. Our curriculum helps children develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills they’ll need to succeed in kindergarten, school and life. Teachers plan lessons to deepen understanding of basic academic concepts through exploration, investigation and play. We provide a place where children can challenge themselves and enjoy the thrill of discovery as they look forward to school.

School-Age Program:

     During the school year, we provide homework time with the kids to support their learning at school. When school is out, we keep the kids focused by doing activities to stimulate and reinforce what they did in school all year, but do it in a fun way so they don’t feel like they are in school all year round.

     Hello, and welcome to our wonderful facility. My name is Sarah and I am the director. I have a bachelor’s degree in Music and I am in the process of completing my master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I have more than 12 years’ experience working in the field of child care.

     Early childhood education is a passion of mine. I love to watch children’s minds develop and watch them learn new things every day. I believe that we are shaping the future and I am honored to be part of this. I take pride in my school and all that we have to offer. I have an open-door policy where parents and staff can come talk to me at any time with concerns, comments or questions.

     I am very present in our school. I have a great rapport with children as well as with my staff. I feel that we offer the best curriculum in the area and when children leave our center to enter kindergarten, they are well prepared and ready to further their educational careers.

     The children at our school are attending an NECPA-accredited program that is safe, secure, and full of actively engaged learners. Because communication is important to us, we work extra hard to ensure that all families are comfortable and have opportunities to meet with other families.

     More than half of our teachers have been with us for over four years. We have a solid core of teachers who work together as a team. They participate in ongoing training offered by the state and also by Childtime. We look forward to your visit and showing you and your family all that we can offer!

     Childtime has a great curriculum for the children to learn. Every month there is a calendar that is put out wit center events on it and we love it, our favorite day is pajama day! Childtime is an excellent daycare, up to par on my standards which are very high for my three children. I love Childtime and feel it’s the only childcare center that can provide for me and my children’s needs.
