School Age Child Care

      The YMCA of Central Ohio offers State Licensed Before and/or After School Care at the Cherry Creek YMCA. While our programs allow for activity choice, they provide an educationally based curriculum which in includes KidzLit and homework assistance. KidzLit is an after school literacy program. The Y-Club curriculum is designed around these eight core services:

      Our Y-Club participants learn the importance of performing community service projects, and staff incorporate Character Development into the daily lesson plans by emphasizing the four core YMCA values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility into all our Y-Club activities. YMCA Y-Club activities all work together to help children grow physically, mentally, and spiritually.

     The YMCA of Central Y-Club program is a wonderful place for children to spend their out of school time!

Kindergarten Plus

      Our K+ programs provide a safe, supervised, educationally enriching, fun environment for kindergartners while their parents work or go to school. Our K+ curriculum is aligned with the SWCS Kindergarten curriculum and includes a variety of enrichment activities, daily physical activity, reading, free choice, lunch and a healthy snack.

You can relax knowing your kindergartner is safe with us while you work.

Program Structure and Fees K+ Program Structure:
K+ at Cherry Creek (Non-Kindergarten School Days)

      Kindergartners would attend the K+ plus full day program at Cherry Creek on non-school days. Child Care is available on those days from 7AM-6PM. Before School program rates apply for care offered from 7-8:45AM and After School program rates apply for care provided from 2:45PM-6PM. Kindergarten Plus program fees cover care from 8:45AM-2:45PM.

      Kindergarten School Days: When Kindergarteners are in school, they have the option of utilizing the YMCA Before School and/or the After School Program that serves their school.

     We believe the values and skills learned early on are vital building blocks for quality of life. Because of the Y community, kids in neighborhoods around the nation are taking more interest in learning and making smarter life choices. We provide safe, nurturing environments where kids gain knowledge, guidance and encouragement to help them develop strong character, values and social skills.
