"Our goal is to help all children foster their 'I am' which helps foster their 'I can' that helps them to succeed," says Dr. Vicki Folds, Vice President of Education and Professional Development. "It is very important for children to have a positive environment with positive interactions." Dr. Folds goes on to say "Teachers at our centers, work under the 'I am' philosophy to promote each child's physical, social, emotional and intellectual development. The approach concentrates on allowing each child to learn through their own creativity and self-reliance, while laying the foundation for reading, writing and logical thinking."

INFANT CHILDCARE A & B

INFANTS - SIX WEEKS THROUGH NINE MONTHS
Our program is designed to nurture and stimulate the development of each child in a safe and secure environment. The proprietary learning plan in our Infant daycare provides Sensory, Motor and Language appropriate activities. The Sensory activities stimulate the infant's ability for visual and auditory discrimination. The Motor activities activate both the fine and gross (small and large) muscles through coordinating body movements and motions. The Language area stimulates the infant's ability to communicate through organized approaches. It is our commitment to create an inspiring environment and a strong bond with your child to ensure a healthy start in life.

INFANTS - NINE MONTHS THROUGH SIXTEEN MONTHS
In our safe and secure environment, we continue our nurturing and infant stimulation but with the next level of learning opportunities. Our infant daycare learning plans continue to provide Sensory, Motor and Language appropriate activities based on the abilities of this emerging age group. Our program is filled with concrete Sensory, Motor and Language experiences emphasizing their environment and relationships therefore expanding the world around them.

TODDLER & TWO-YEAR-OLD CHILDCARE

SIXTEEN MONTHS THROUGH TWO YEARS
For this growing child we offer a new classroom environment. The schedules offered are more consistent and the learning opportunities increase to unveil many new and exciting educational experiences. The areas of focus for these toddlers are Creative Art and Sensory, Fine Motor, Gross Motor and Language. The learning plans offer ideas for Creative Art and Sensory to explore through discovery; the Fine Motor area focuses on grasping and eye/hand coordination; the Gross Motor area focuses on using large muscles in coordinated ways and the Language area focuses on using words to express needs. An important emphasis for this age is emotional development; helping children feel good about themselves and their abilities is a primary focus in our toddler daycare programs.

TWENTY-FOUR MONTHS THROUGH THIRTY-MONTHS
As these eager and enthusiastic learners enter the school year they are nurtured and challenged through group play and language development. The learning plan for this two-year-old daycare classroom offers activities in the areas of Creative Art, Nature, Fine Motor, Physical Fitness and Songs. Each learning plan offers a focus of the week that is either theme or season related. The important emphasis for children of this age is socialization: such as sharing and taking turns, and cooperation in a group environment.

PRESCHOOL PROGRAM I - II - III

TWO AND ONE HALF THROUGH THIRTY-SIX MONTHS
Our program is designed to provide a rich environment where children are encouraged to explore and are challenged to learn. Group activities and individual instruction help in developing self-confidence and encourage curiosity. The learning plans for our two-year-old preschoolers reflect themes and concept learning as part of the focus areas as well as Creative Art, Nature, Fine Motor, Physical Fitness and Songs. This age group focuses on the physical self as children gain control of self-help skills, combine ideas and learn more complex games. Our teachers provide plenty of individual attention to support every child's unique needs.

THREE-YEAR-OLDS
Children of America knows that these children are focused on cognitive development and increasing thinking abilities. The learning plans for our three-year-old preschoolers reflect these needs with a daily emphasis and introduction of Character Traits, Colors, Shapes, Concepts, Cooking, Creative Art, Language and Letters, Math, Music and Movement. Our "Old Town Colony" stimulates ideas, our physical fitness program promotes coordination, and our arts and crafts agenda allows children build a personal portfolio as a keepsake. Science, Sensory, Spanish and Tray Tasking are emphasized to further the educational experience.

FOUR-YEAR-OLD / PRE-KINDERGARTEN CLASSROOM
The world is theirs to discover. Children of America's curriculum was developed to foster all aspects of the learning experience. Teachers introduce a more structured environment, while still incorporating plenty of time for self-directed play and exploration. Our daily learning plan is focused on the development of Social Competence, Character Trait Development, Musical Intelligence, Socio-Dramatic Development, Physical Fitness, and Emerging Literacy. We give children the opportunity to solve problems, investigate questions and create artistic masterpieces with programs such as Mathematical Thinking, Creative Expression and Critical Thinking Skills. To ensure that each child in our pre-k program has the skills necessary for elementary school, we also emphasize programs such as Foreign Language Acquisition, Reading and Writing Preparation, Building Short and Long Term Memory Skills and Scientific Thinking Skills.
