Basics
ColumbusChildcare.com is excited to be offering on-going $1,000.00 academic scholarships to deserving students living and working in Central Ohio.
The Deadline for the next round of Applications must be submitted by September 1st, 2003.
Who's eligible
- Students must be either in-coming freshmen, or currently enrolled and making satisfactory progress toward an undergraduate degree at Any 2 or 4 year college in Central Ohio.
- Students must be majoring in, or planning to Major in a Childcare Related Field
*OR*
Be a Working Parent with children under the age of 12.
The Requirements Scholarships are awarded to recipients for one academic year. The scholarship will cover up to $1000.00 of the student's tuition for the 2003-2004 academic year as posted by the financial aid office of the university or college. The scholarships are made through the designated school and are not transferable to other academic institutions. The funds are to be used for tuition only and may not be used for other costs on the recipient's bursar bill.

At ColumbusChildcare.com, we want to encourage students from all over Central Ohio to pursue degrees in Childcare Related fields within our state's colleges and universities. We also want to aid working parents with young children that are trying to further their education.
ColumbusChildcare.com will review all online registrations and select final candidates on the basis of eligibility, quality of content in your online registration, and financial need.
ColumbusChildcare.com will personally interview all finalists. The names of the scholarship winners will be announced within 6 weeks of each Application Deadline.

How to apply
A complete application includes the following items:

Essay questions
Use our Scholarship Submission Form to answer all 4 of the following essay questions in total.
1. Describe why you decided to major in a Childcare related field (if applicable).
2. Describe what you would like to do once you receive your degree
3. Describe a situation which demonstrates initiative and your
willingness to go above and beyond.
4. Describe how you are currently funding your college education.
Facts About You
Your Essay should include the following information:
- Your e-mail address
- Your campus or current address and phone number
- Your permanent address and phone number
- Your major
- Your current GPA
- Your expected graduation date

Transcript
- All applicants will be required to furnish an academic transcript upon request from ColumbusChildcare.com if they have been selected as a finalist. Transcript GPA should be in line with GPA listed in online registration.
