Associate Professor of Education
Full-time position for a teacher educator with a specialty in curriculum and instruction, English Language Arts pedagogy, and educational psychology to join a collaborative, growing department beginning August 16, 2020. The position is a renewable three-year appointment. Responsibilities include teaching courses in curriculum and instruction, reading foundations, English Language Arts pedagogy, and educational psychology; leading student teaching seminars; and participating in service to the department, campus, community, and profession. We seek a creative colleague with a deep commitment to social justice, diversity, equity, inclusion and innovative practice.

Qualifications & Requirements
Required: Demonstrated expertise in English Language Arts pedagogy, curriculum and instruction, and educational psychology; at least three years of K-12 teaching experience; experience working in preservice and/or in-service teacher education; experience addressing issues of diversity and equity in education; and a record of collaborative activity.
Preferred: A background in secondary education. Preference will be given to candidates with an earned doctorate by time of appointment in education, curriculum and instruction, educational psychology, or a related field. However, ABD candidates who have made significant progress towards completion of the degree are also encouraged to apply.
