As the Procurement Business Partner Lead (Director) for Nestlé USA, you will be the marketing procurement expert within Nestlé USA leading the discovery of best practices and adopting new ways of working in order to keep up with the changing consumer landscape. This role is responsible for developing & leading relationships at the executive leadership level (CMO, VPs Digital, Media, etc) and act as the key conduit in influencing future procurement strategies. This role will lead the team in working closely with our global and local buying teams to design, propose, discuss and align the category strategies that build brands and provide topline growth while delivering value to the business.
~Confirm and understand business objectives, challenges, projects, requirements and expectations with the Category Management Team to help shape strategic planning and category sourcing strategies
~Attend the Marketing Executive Leadership Staff Meetings.
~Represent the Above Market and At Market Procurement Team in business review meetings as appropriate, ensuring effective information flow between the Market/Globally ~Managed Businesses to deliver against business/function strategies
~Partner with the Center for Marketing Excellence to align on deliverables of the business or function in support of the Operational Master Plan (OMP) and the long term Master Business Strategy.
~Provide the business compelling category and sourcing insights to contribute to business strategies.
~Actively participate in trade and professional associations to glean meaningful insights that shape business strategies as well as form a strong external network enabling awareness of key trends, issues, and opportunities.
~Influence key indicators in marketing and own/measure cost improvement targets and projects. Reporting out to partners as appropriate.
~Monitor business goals delivered by the Category Teams and help periodically reassess the targets.
~Identify specific total cost improvement opportunities and present them to marketing leadership for prioritization, resourcing (people or technology) and implementation and align with strategic teams.
~Work closely with the global and category sourcing teams to understand the market and provide new and transformative ways of working in order to ensure a strong Total Cost of Ownership for the marketing categories.
~Monitor and track goals with the teams on a monthly basis
~Lead implementation of sourcing strategies at business level, within the overall ~implementation plan of the marketing sourcing strategy.
~Liaise with both global teams and Nestlé in Market North America marketing procurement teams to share best practices and streamline activities to drive continuous improvement.
~Play an active role in our Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program through the participation of key meetings, by ensuring right stakeholder engagement and through senior interactions with agencies where needed.
~Lead the next generation of procurement professionals by setting the team’s vision and building the capabilities for the future or hiring as needed
Qualifications & Requirements
~Bachelor’s Degree, MBA Preferred
~10+ years of experience in marketing or marketing procurement managing agencies, operational issues, and setting strategy
~Excellent interpersonal skills (presentation & written) in working with diverse teams and executive leadership, and proven ability in forming relationships and stakeholder management
~Curiosity about external trends and adept at bringing them to life within an organization by acting with an entrepreneurial mindset
~Ability to develop processes and/or to identify continuous improvements to help better coordinate activities as it relates to vendor relationship management
