Applied Health Science Lecturer
The Department of Health, Nutrition, and Exercise Science (HNES) in the School of Science, Engineering and Health at Messiah College invites applications for a full-time lecturer faculty position.
Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate courses in the Applied Health Science major such as Exercise Physiology, Principles of Exercise Science, and Concepts of Conditioning. Teaching responsibilities may also include Wellness courses and major courses in other Health, Nutrition, and Exercise Science majors, based on the candidate’s expertise. Advise students in the Applied Health Science major.
Qualifications: Minimum of a Master’s degree in Exercise Science or related field. College teaching experience is preferred.
The Program: Messiah College’s Department of Health, Nutrition, and Exercise Science offers a Bachelor of Science in Applied Health Science and is one of the largest majors on campus. Applied Health Science features Pre-Professional, Pre-Physical Therapy, Pre-Occupational Therapy, and Exercise Science concentrations.
The Department: The Department of Health, Nutrition, and Exercise Science at Messiah College includes majors in Applied Health Science, Nutrition and Dietetics, Athletic Training, Sport Management, and Health and Physical Education. There are nine full time faculty and dedicated research and teaching laboratories.
The College: Messiah College is a Christian college of the liberal and applied arts and sciences and has a student body of over 2,700 undergraduate students including 14.4% under-represented and 4.1% international students from 28 countries and over 600 graduate students including 16.4% of students from under-represented populations.

Compensation: Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
