The Program Manager of Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion (DEAI) assists the Chief Diversity Of-ficer with the administrative and logistical coordination of the museum's paid internships and diversity fel-lowship programs. Responsibilities will include outreach, marketing, recruitment, selection, orientation, evaluation, and related program logistics that will enable a more accessible pathway to museums for stu-dents from traditionally underrepresented populations.

The Program Manager of DEAI will also help design and implement toolkits and trainings to increase cul-tural competency amongst staff, board, and volunteers, including front of house and gallery security visitor engagement training working with the Director of Strategy and Operations. The Program Manager will also facilitate small group dialogues, focus groups, and evaluations of all programs in support of the museums’ DEAI initiatives. Additionally, the Program Manager will assist to refine recruiting and planning solutions that will include diverse job seekers.


Outreach Programming and Community Engagement (Intern and Fellowship)

• Assist the Chief Diversity Officer with administrative and logistical program needs to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of robust and impactful internship and fellowship programs that are aligned with the guidelines outlined in the Sherman Fairchild Foundation grant and adhere to institutional standards of inclusive excellence.
• Assist with the development and implementation of curriculum, including a comprehensive orientation and professional development programs for the interns and fellows.
• Facilitate intern and fellow orientation sessions; coordinate the logistics for professional development programs, field trips, and seminars.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for interns, fellows through email, and in-person interactions; assist-ing with the outreach and recruitment efforts for the paid internship and fellowship programs through electronic and in-person outreach to academic institutions, student networks, professional associations, distribution lists and other relevant sources of contact.
• Maintain up-to-date recruitment files in ADP, and a database that contains relevant data for key internal and external stakeholders (e.g., students, faculty, partnership organizations, intern history)
• Organize and maintain intern and fellow program materials, including handbooks, portfolios and other project deliverables; assist with the review, selection, and departmental placement of paid internship and fellowship program applications; distribute, collect and collaborate with Chief Diversity Officer to synthesize internship and fellowship evaluation materials that will be implement to the program changes and submit relevant findings in annual reports to the Sherman Fairchild Foundation

Managerial, Training, and Logistics

• Plan and support the development and implementation of programs, training, events, and other initia-tives including CCID (Cultural Competency, Inclusion, Diversity staff working group), to continue to build DEAI knowledge, awareness and skills across the organization
• Provide support within The Phillips Collection (TPC) strategic plan objectives through a DEAI lens
• Work with Chief Diversity Officer to assist with training internal trainers and guided tools, hands-on sup-port for coaching, facilitation and team development through a DEAI lens
• Collaborate with inter-departmental committees to assist with the development, implementation and evaluation to further DEAI related programs

Talent Acquisition
• Under the direction of the Chief Diversity Officer, continue to refine the Fellowship program, including curriculum development, staff training, giving and seeking feedback, holding managers accountable, onboarding, monitoring effectiveness of coaching and mentorship programs, and evaluation of pro-gram progress.
• Collaborate with Human Resources other stakeholders to refine recruiting and planning solutions that will include diverse job seekers from East of the River, Prince Georges County, and national and inter-national communities.

Data, Analysis, Reporting, and Analysis

• Assist Chief Diversity Officer in the production of quarterly and annual board and foundation reports on internships, diversity fellowships the DEAI initiatives
• Prepare reports and data dashboards that support the team and organization in measuring its progress against human capital and employee experience goals and metrics
• Consult and partner with key leaders to perform an ongoing needs analysis and recommend changes based on learner feedback

Budget and Administrative

• Manage internship, and diversity fellowship within the DEAI budget
• Identify and manage budget and resources, assesses the effectiveness of role annually; partners with Chief Diversity Officer to assess the effectiveness of project and programs
• Other duties as assigned

Salary up to $50,000 annually, commensurate with experience

Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree with four or more years’ experience working on diversity and inclusion directly or four years of experience with project management
• Management/supervisory experience
• Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
• Sound judgment and confidence to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and PC operating systems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Adult learning curriculum development
• Acumen in developing cooperative working relationships among diverse constituencies
• Experience in managing budgets
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Attention to details with strong follow-through
• Availability to work some evening hours and occasional weekend programs

• DEAI related talent management experience, including learning and development, talent assessment processes and change management
• Serve as an active and proactive contributor and collaborator of the larger Employee experience team, and supporting colleagues on and lending projects related to DEAI
• Experience with ADP or similar payroll/HR reporting system, and Adobe Creative Suite
