Camp Programs

YMCA camps share one thing: they’re about discovery. Kids have the opportunity to explore nature, discover new talents, try new activities, gain independence, and build lasting friendships and memories. And, of course, it’s fun!

Summer Day Camp
Summer just wouldn't be the same without the excitement and adventure of a YMCA Day Camp. For over 30 years, central Ohio children have come together for a summer full of nature, water fun, games, cookouts, arts & crafts and new friendships!
A wide variety of programs are offered for children grades 1 through 10, with special programs designed just for teens. Traditional, Sports and Specialty Camps are available. Camp runs June through August of each year. Several camps are accredited by the American Camping Association. Membership Assistance is available. Pick up a current Camp Guide at you branch Resource Center or download it below.

Overnight Summer Camp
Enjoy the best that summer has to offer with swimming, boating, archery, campfires, food, singing, sports, nature, camp-outs, and much more at Camp Willson – the YMCA's premier resident camp.
Serving children since 1918, Camp Willson is located just one hour northwest of Columbus in Bellefontaine, Ohio. Perfect for children ages 7 through 17 offering Traditional, Horseback, Specialty and Teen Camps. Camp Can Do
Camp for Children with Special Needs
With Camp Can Do, the YMCA and the Early Childhood Resource Network+ (ECRN+) extend the opportunity to enjoy and participate in nature to our young special-needs population. Running concurrently with YMCA Day Camp at three local YMCA branches, Camp Can Do is a special summer day camp for children and young adults with moderate to intensive special needs, ages 6 through 21 years. Camp activities are tailored to the unique needs of these kids, and staff of counselors at each site consist of teachers from our local school districts experienced in working with children who have special needs.

A whole catalogue of exciting activities designed especially for 7th–9th graders
Every day of your week brings a new and different adventure, and each of the four TeenXtreme locations has its own palette of activities to choose from. One day you could be making jewelry and playing in a basketball tournament; the next you might find yourself on a trail in the woods, cooking up a gourmet lunch outdoors, or swimming under twenty feet of water with SCUBA gear.

We believe the values and skills learned early on are vital building blocks for life. Because of the Y, more young people in neighborhoods around the nation are taking a greater interest in learning and making smarter life choices. At the Y, children and teens learn values and positive behaviors, and can explore their unique talents and interests, helping them realize their potential. That makes for confident kids today and contributing and engaged adults tomorrow.
