Not only were we able to kick off something that was long overdue, in the form of an annual in-person conference, but also we were able to celebrate 25 years in business here at HBCU CONNECT.
Here are a few highlights from the event:- We had a goal to register at least 2,000 candidates for the event and ended up with over 3,600 candidates registered and over 2,600 resumes collected (attached).
- The ratio of students to professionals was roughly 9% students and 91% professionals. We are looking to host a virtual event in the Fall which should allow for more student participation for those of you looking to hire students for internships or jobs after graduation.
- This was our first year hosting a conference and not just a career fair, so thank all of you that helped us make this a reality for attendees. We had over 15 different sessions and so far, based on our survey results, 34% of attendees took advantage of attending some of the sessions offered during the day.
- Over 88% of attendees so far have reported back that they felt they were able to make fruitful connections and conversations with employers at the career fair (thank you!).
